Had a great day of fun yeseterday after my GP paper. The econs lecture after the paper was a total waste of time, i just copied the notes. But like, couldn't they just print for us?! ARGH what a waste of time..

Anyway headed with JunYu to his house, as usual he was crapping with his mum. Then we headed to Darren's house to meet the 4H people. Amazingly we were not the first, i usually expect them to be late. Met WeiJie on the bus. Then at the entrance of Summer Gardens met Nickolas and Pangster.. After that everyone else arrived and we headed to play soccer. The court near Darren's house was occupied so we headed to the court @ AHS. Cut through the school like we were some alumni although we had people like chris and khyrul in our group. HAHA.

Played soccer, and all of us nicely never bring along water. So screamed at hongzhou who was coming later to hurry up with the mineral bottles. That hz ah, come for soccer only then left. ZZzzz. Then terry and jay came also. After soccer we headed back to the house. A few of them went to dip in the jacuzzi. The rest of us sat around chit-chat play cards. Finally at 8pm then the whole group decided to go eat dinner.

Headed to Simpang for dinner at the Indian Restaurant. Ate prata and the others had briyani or murtabak. Then the Johnnie a.k.a DuaBao had double portions (as usual). After dinner johnnie started talking about his escapades with the word "shit", talking about all his crazy episopes with the toilets. Poor nick couldn't finish his dinner as he was the slowest to end. HAHA.

After dinner terry made an appeal to go for his choir concert. The bunch of us tried making him sing "Stand By Me" in the middle of nowhere. LOL. He sang a few lines and all of us start walking away. In the end no one went. =X. Nvm terry, u have our support! :)

Went back to the house again and started gaming spree till midnight. Then left with Johnnie in his dad's car. Too bad i couldn't stay over. Sad.. But nvm....

Thanks for the Memories again guys, after not seeing u people for so long, it was like yesterday we were studying under one roof.. =) willis, chris, junyu, jay, terry, hongzhou, handoko, weijie, timo, khyrul, justin, nickolas, johnnie and most of all darren for inviting us to his house. Woohoo..

Sunday again and once again it's time to go church. Today's total youth attendance was super sad. Don't know everyone know no lessons or what, just slightly more than 1/4 of the usual strength was present and we only sang one worship song. Evveryone that went to the moveis thing the night before looked like zombies, so basically it was a dull moody morning.

And then i went with mummy & sis to Bedok Interchange. Reached there saw a large crowd gathering outside NTUC. I initially thought something huge happen, upon closer inspection i realised that actually some Mediacorp Artists were there. Mark Lee and some other lady, don't know her name. Saw her in 13 strokes(Ryan's mum) the recent chinese drama. Ah wells, the people who were gathering around them were like super interested in what they doing. Actually i also don't know what they doing, couldn't be bothered to find out.

Mum bought sushi, YUMMY! =) haven't eaten sushi for some time and the taste of it is WOOHOO. =X then after reaching home my neighbour come over with one huge bowl of LONTONG. I must admit my neighbour can conjour up the best lontong i ever tasted anyway. It's fabulous and my stomach is growling for it now. GrrRrRRr!!

Next week brings about GP test... sian.. no mood to study for anything at all.. i hate holidays this year.. good luck to those taking MT o's and MT a's tmr. =)

to you if you're reading` have fun! =)

Soccer boys, you guys did your best =) MJ is proud of you.. Even though we lost, it's okay. We fought hard.

Congrats to RJ anyway...

Met Johnnie at the stadium, so glad to see him, very long never talk to him already. =) So yeah, after going to see the soccer match in which the whole school was made to go, we went for choir concert @ Victoria Concert Hall..

The concert was great, almost similar to last year, maybe because it was in the same place. just reached home at the stroke of midnight, fairly tired but decided to stay online to chat with people. :)

Happy Bithday to Angel Cousin! =)

Competition was pretty uneventful today, guess everyone is just waiting for it to end. Tmr's the last day, finally getting the much needed break we need. To think we started off with high hopes, only with it ending in a little sadness. Guess we never really prepared enough for it..

On the bright side, i was thinking of primary school days. Kind of out of nowhere but i was smiling as i remembered what my peers use to say around that time. Remember how u use to run races in primary school? Haha.. they usually have special terms for specific positions...

The top 3 goes like:
1st the worst the backside burst
2nd the best the bird in the nest (i never really know where's the link)
3rd the hairy princess (what i think is the funniest)

then got one i think was created by Dan, for fourth place. It's : Fourth, the boss in the chilli sauce. Then also got : Fifth, the beef with the long sleeve... Haha.. Dunno who made up all this nonsense lah.. But nvm, a good was to cheer up a boring night..

A day's work is a day's work, neither more nor less, and the man who does it needs a day's sustenance, a night's repose and due leisure, whether he be painter or ploughman.

today's church message spoke very loudly to me, i guess that i've been doing many things wrong too. Let's hope i can change.. Thank God for the leader he provided the group with today. 2 more bowling days to go, Tue and Wed, i'm going to bowl my best. I want at least one high game! Haha..

sigh, it's not easy..

ONE. Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.
TWO. Marry a man/woman you love to talk to. As you get older, their conversational skills will be as important as any other.
THREE. Don't believe all you hear, spend all you have or sleep all you want.
FOUR. When you say, 'I love you,' mean it.
FIVE. When you say, 'I'm sorry,' look the person in the eye.
SIX. Be engaged at least six months before you get married.
SEVEN. Believe in love at first sight.
EIGHT. Never laugh at anyone's dream. People who don't have dreams don't have much.
NINE. Love deeply and passionately. You might get hurt but it's the only way to live life completely.
TEN. In disagreements, fight fairly. No name calling.
ELEVEN. Don't judge people by their relatives.
TWELVE. Talk slowly but think quickly.
THIRTEEN. When someone asks you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, 'Why do you want to know?'
FOURTEEN. Remember that great love and great achievements involve great risk.
FIFTEEN. Say 'bless you' when you hear someone sneeze.
SIXTEEN. When you lose, don't lose the lesson .......
SEVENTEEN. Remember the three R's: Respect for self; Respect for others; and responsibility for all your actions.
EIGHTEEN. Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
NINETEEN. When you realize you've made a mistake, take immediate steps to correct it.

TWENTY. Smile when picking up the phone. The caller will hear it in your voice.
TWENTY-ONE. Spend some time alone.

Just came back from bowling competitions! Today was doubles, but ah wells, me and LaoDa couldn't have bowled worst.. SIAN.. i think the remaining 6 games we can just throw for fun, laugher, peace & joy.

Wells, a lot of people were feeling down after the thing. So was i.. Luckily a good lunch cheered me up, so ahh wells, take the free time now to go game. Forget all my worries!

Tomorrow comes too soon

One day the factory sports coach, who was very strict, pointed at four boys, including me, and ordered us to run in a race. I protested that I was weak and not fit to run, but the coach sent me for a physical examination and the doctor said that I was perfectly well. So I had to run, and when I got started I felt I wanted to win. But I only came in second. That was the way it started.

Finally competitons have started, but it's so tiring. Just finished the first day, and we all bowled like crap. Looking at SAJC training after our game, well i think we all got intimidated. But then i believe we can win something, at least a medal, if only we try hard enough. Oh wells, 6 games gone, 12 more to go. For doubles i pairing with Laoda, let's hope we can achieve something. haha..

Dad brought me to eat prata after the competition. Yeah, was so hungry. ARGH, this week i'll be missing all maths and physics tutorial, plus tmr i must take physics test. SIAN.

One night and one more time
Thanks for the memories
Even though they weren't so great

i think astronomy is so beautiful.. I just got this link from the science magazine we got. It features NASA's picture of the day. This is the picture of the day for May6.

anyway, i read another article on the magazine. i think it's rather funny. So i shall quote the whole thing here:
__________________________________________
"Right-handers Have Poor Body Image"
Earlier studies already tell us that the "mix-handed "(those who use their non-dominant hand for some tasks) may have a bigger corpus callosum, a thick band of nerve fibers that connects the two hemispheres of the brain, and a stronger link between the two sides of their brain, than the strong right-handed. Both sides of the brain have a part to play in a person's perception of his own body but strong right-handers have less access to the right-hemisphere based body image representations. Brain-imaging research have also suggested that the warped body image associated with anorexia may be linked to dysfunction in the brain's right hemisphere.

it comes as little surprise then that research findings published in the April 2007 issue of the International Journal of Eating Disorders suggest that strong right-handers were more likely to have a distorted perception of their weight, and score higher on eating disorder risk factors like body sissatisfaction and a strong desire for thinness, than those who were mix-handed.
__________________________________________

after reading this, i was laughing.. oh wells.. thank God i'm a mix handed.. woohoo...

had training again today, finally tomorrow's the last training before competition officially starts. It's going to be 18 games over the next 2 weeks, of 4 days in that 2 weeks. I don't think MJ can win, but then must think positive, since like LaoDa say if MJ win a medal only bolwing might become niche CCA.. haha dream big..

Anyway, i broke my all time best record again today and registered a score of 256 pinfalls. Although it wasn't all clean throws, ah wells, luck shining a little on me today.. at least it clears my clouds a little :)

training today as usual, but our transport didn't turn up, so in the end we had to pay for our own taxi there! ZzzZZ, what a great start to a monday. training turned out okay, although the lane was so oily the ball didn't hook at all, quite dumb..

reached home and i tried looking for my thermal notes, discovered to my horror that it wasn't anywhere to be found. oh wells, life loves to play tricks on you, when one thing heads downwards, the rest follows. i have no mood to study for SPA tmr.. so forget it..

today was a great day indeed. it was fun going to Leslie's house to meet part of the CG. even though many couldn't make it, the few of us there wesley/me/leslie/dan/jasper/amos certainly made it enjoyable. turned out that josh.tay and andrew couldn't make it, so it was up to us. we had a time of sharing, then prayer, then gaming time. haha. gaming rocks! i would be seeing those guys again, certainly hope to have more times like this for our cg to bond.

I saw Kenneth Lim on the bus toda, with his girlfriend. Haha...

Just finished bowling training at Yishun. Super tired. It's one more week to competition. Can't wait for it to come and go. Maybe make a name for the school, the after that can concentrate on studies. Anyway, i think i'm bowling lousier by the day. Plus team's morale is so low today, like everybody give the sian sian look, i ended up feeling lousy too. Haix...

Come to think of it, i hope there's something to cheer about soon.

Stay The Same
Don't you ever wish you were someone else,
You were meant to be the way you are exactly.
Don't you ever say you don't like the way you are.
When you learn to love yourself, you're better off by far.
And I hope you always stay the same,
cuz there's nothin' 'bout you I would change.

A friend told me that each morning when we get up we have to decide whether we are going to save or savor the world. I don't think that is the decision. It's not an either-or, save or savor. We have to do both, save and savor the world.
